Meet Jamie Lubov, Learning and Education Specialist at OCDMN! With over 12 years of experience, Jamie is dedicated to helping families navigate OCD, ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities. Learning & Education Assessments & Services

Comprehensive Learning Disability Assessment

Covers reading, writing, and math challenges, including evaluations for dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, as well as identifying features of other disabilities such as dyspraxia, nonverbal learning disabilities, language processing disorders, visual processing disorders, sensory issues, and more.

Includes:

  • Evaluation Planning Meeting: 2–2.5 hours

  • In-Person Testing: 2-6 hours (varies; discussed and decided with parents)

  • Feedback Session to discuss findings: 1 hour

  • Comprehensive Written Report with recommendations for education, accommodations, and support

What This Assessment Tests For:

Reading (e.g., Dyslexia):

  • Phonological processing: Ability to recognize and manipulate sounds in words.

  • Decoding skills: Ability to sound out, break down, and recognize words.

  • Reading fluency: Speed, accuracy, and expression of reading (prosody).

  • Reading comprehension: Ability to understand, recall, and interpret text (including summarizing).

  • Orthographic processing: Ability to recognize visual patterns in written words.

Writing (e.g., Dysgraphia):

  • Written expression: Organizing and expressing ideas clearly and fluently.

  • Spelling and grammar abilities: Applying rules and conventions.

  • Fine motor skills: Coordination for writing tasks.

Math (e.g., Dyscalculia):

Focused Learning Disability Assessment

Focuses on a specific academic area, such as reading, writing, or math.

Includes:

  • Initial Evaluation Planning Meeting: 2 hours

  • In-Person Testing: 1-3 hours

  • Feedback Session to discuss findings: 1 hour

  • Written Report with targeted recommendations

Reading: Phonological processing, decoding skills, fluency, comprehension, and visual word recognition

Writing: Written expression, mechanics, spelling, grammar, and related fine motor skills.

Educational Consultation and Strategy Session

A personalized session to assess and enhance support for students with learning differences, OCD, ADHD, autism, and more. Jamie, our Learning and Education Specialist, will review school, home, and community supports to develop tailored strategies and actionable plans for success.

Fee: $200

Duration: 60 minutes

Comprehensive Educational Assessment and Support Plan

A detailed evaluation of a student’s learning profile, academic performance, behavioral challenges, and social-emotional development (SEL). This includes standardized assessments and a feedback session with families to discuss findings, strategies, and resources.

Base Fee: $500

Duration:

  • Student Assessment: 60 minutes to three 2-hour sessions

  • Feedback Session: 60–120 minutes

Add-On Services:

  • IEP/504 or Accommodation Plan Recommendations: Expert guidance on IEP goals, service recommendations, PLEP statements, and accommodations.

    • Fee: $100/hour (adds 30–45 minutes to the feedback session)

  • School and Community Observations: Behavioral and social interaction observation conducted on-site.

    • Fee: $125 (includes transportation costs; no additional feedback session time required)

IEP/504 Plan or Accommodation Plan Reviews

A review of existing IEPs, 504 Plans, or Accommodation Plans to ensure alignment with the student’s needs. Includes recommendations for measurable goals, accommodations, and service delivery, along with Behavior Support/Intervention Plan (BSP/BIP) reviews if applicable.

Fee: $200 (Includes review of relevant documents, such as IEPs, 504 Plans, Accommodation Plans, and BSP/BIP, prior to the meeting to ensure a thorough and informed discussion.)

Duration: 60 minutes

Pre-Meeting Guidance and Support

Prepare for school meetings (IEP, intervention team, or parent-teacher conferences) with expert guidance. Learn about your student’s needs, rights, and communication strategies. Families will receive advocacy tools, email templates, and question guides to support effective collaboration.

Fee: $200/hour

IEP Meetings & School Support Advocacy

Receive in-meeting guidance and advocacy during IEP or related school meetings. Jamie helps families communicate concerns, interpret assessments, and ensure compliance with state and federal standards to foster collaboration and achieve the best outcomes for students.

Fee: $150/hour

Duration: 1–2 hours per meeting (typically)

Behavior Support Plans (BSP) & Data Tracking

Develop or review individualized BSPs or BIPs to address challenging behaviors. This includes collaboration with school personnel and creating data-tracking systems to measure effectiveness.

Fee: $400

Duration: Variable based on complexity

Teacher and Staff Consultation for Student Success

A consultative service to support communication and collaboration between families and educational staff. Jamie works with teachers, counselors, and school staff to provide guidance on strategies, techniques, and interventions tailored to the student’s needs. This service can include staff training, strategy implementation, and regular follow-ups to ensure effective support and positive outcomes for the student.
Fee: $85/hour

  • Our Learning and Education services are designed for students of all ages with learning differences, OCD, ADHD, autism, and related conditions, diagnosed or not. These services are also helpful for families seeking support in navigating educational systems, IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavioral challenges.

  • Our Learning and Education services are private pay only. We do not accept insurance for these services. However, we can provide documentation for families to submit to their insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

  • We recommend bringing:

    • Any relevant school documents, such as IEPs (including progress reports/updates), 504 Plans, accommodation plans

    • Reports from previous assessments or evaluations

    • Notes on specific challenges or concerns you'd like addressed

    • Information about the student's strengths, interests, and areas of need

    • Recent teacher communications, if applicable, such as progress notes, emails, or updates

  • Before the session, gather any relevant documents related to the upcoming meeting (IEP, intervention plans, or parent-teacher conference notes). Feel free to bring a list of questions or topics you’d like to address. We’ll help you organize and strategize for a productive meeting.

  • Yes, many of our services can be conducted virtually for families who prefer this option. Please contact us to discuss whether virtual services are suitable for your needs.

  • The total duration varies depending on the student's needs:

    • Evaluation Planning Meeting: A 30-60 minute meeting to discuss the student, their needs, the questions the family/student has, and determine the evaluations to be conducted.

    • Student Assessment: 60 minutes to three 2-hour sessions

    • Feedback Session: 60–120 minutes

      • Optional add-ons, such as IEP recommendations or school/community observations, may require additional time.

  • School and community observations are scheduled in collaboration with families and educational staff. We’ll work with you to arrange a convenient time while ensuring the observation provides meaningful insights into the student’s behavior, social interactions, and academic performance strengths or challenges.

  • Absolutely! Our specialist, Jamie, can provide support before the meeting to help you understand your parent and student rights, and offer guidance on what to ask, request, clarify, or do during the meeting. Jamie can also attend IEP or related school meetings to provide in-meeting guidance, clarify educational terms and assessments, and help you advocate for your student’s needs effectively.

  • Jamie is a special education teacher with over a decade of experience working in schools. She’s familiar with how schools operate and how to collaborate effectively with staff. With a signed release of information (ROI), Jamie is happy to connect with school staff via phone, email, or in person to provide support and guidance. She can also collaborate with staff to train them in specific techniques or interventions to better support your student, offering clear recommendations to implement effective strategies.
