Meet Jamie: Helping Students Thrive at the OCD & Anxiety Center of Minnesota

Hi there! I’m Jamie Lubov, a Learning and Education Specialist at the OCD & Anxiety Center of Minnesota (OCDMN). I’m passionate about helping students find success, and I bring over a decade of experience to the table.

My Journey

My teaching path began in an unexpected place: a kibbutz in Israel. While living there, I worked in a nearby school, supporting students with a variety of needs. This experience sparked my passion for education and inspired me to pursue a career in special education.

After returning to the U.S., I earned my teaching credential and a master’s degree at the University of San Francisco. I spent more than 12 years working as a special education teacher in California and Oregon before moving to Minnesota with my young son. Now, I’m lucky to be part of the team at OCDMN, where I provide tailored support to families and students in need.

How I Help

At OCDMN, I help families identify learning disabilities and provide them with the tools and resources needed to move forward. My services include:

• Comprehensive Learning Assessments: I evaluate your child’s learning profile to understand their strengths and needs.

• Family Support and Recommendations: I translate complex findings into actionable steps and connect families with helpful resources.

• Special Education Advocacy: I support families in navigating IEP meetings and ensuring that their child’s needs are met.

• Workshops and Skill Development: Through engaging online workshops, I provide families with the tools to help their children build confidence and succeed long-term.
